Spanning over 300 pages and constructed from more than 200 narrations, from the books of al-Kafi, Kamil al-Ziyarat, the Amali of al-Saduq, al-Mufid, al-Tusi, and Rawdhat al-Wa'izin. This three-part series explores the famous report of Hadith al-Tayr, a narration recorded by both Sunni and Shia traditions, yet whose profound implications have led to its systematic neglect by the majority of Muslims. In Part I, we examine its full context, history and how the many Sunni scholars attempted to weaken, deny, or tamper with the report. Part II contemplates its content and what this Hadith reveals about station of Imam Ali (ع). Part III refutes the major objections about its authenticity, and compiles over thirty independent chains and numerous companions who narrated it, establishing its definitive Tawatur.
