Hadith of the week
Imam Mahdi (aj) was asked, “How is the knowledge of Allah?” He said: “(Allah) knew, then willed, then intended, then measured, then decreed, and then executed. He executed what He had decreed, and He decreed what He had measured, and He measured what He had intended. By His knowledge there was the will (mashī’ah), and by His will there was the intention (irādah), and by His intention there was the measuring (taqdīr), and by His measuring there was the decree (qaḍā’), and by His decree there was the execution (imḍā’). Knowledge comes before will, will is second, intention is third, and the measuring (taqdīr) determines the decree through execution (imḍā’).
