Do Shias Pray Three Times a day?
The article addresses the misconception that the Shīʿa only pray three times a day. In reality, they pray five prayers but permit combining Ẓuhr with ʿAṣr and Maghrib with ʿIshāʾ, as they share starting times. This is supported by Qurʾānic exegesis of Sūrat al-Isrāʾ 17:78 and multiple narrations in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim where the Prophet combined prayers in Madīnah without excuse. Prostration on the Turbah
All Muslims today hope to be praying exactly as the Prophet (s) used to do by repeating his every move, action and speech. One aspect of the prayer where we find a lot of differences among the schools of Islam would be the place of prostration.
